If I were a flower
someone might pluck me
on a sunny day
sew me...

sew me in a garland
to honor a politician
to feel me ashamed
If I were a flower
someone might pluck me
on a sunny day
present me to one's lover
to make me delight
If I were a flower
someone might pluck me
on a sunny day
place me over a tomb
to see tears in one's eyes
to make me cry
If I were a flower
someone might pluck me
on a sunny day
to offer me in a temple
mosque or a church
to fill my soul
with tranquility
If I were a flower
someone might pluck me
on a sunny day
and throw me on a path
where soldiers may pass
on their way to battle field
to save their motherland
I would pay my tribute
by touching their feet
giving me a sense of elevation
